EMMA MARY HALL
I am an actor, theatre maker and writer raised in Adelaide and based in Melbourne, Australia. I trained as an actor at the Victorian College of the Arts and hold an Honours degree in political science from the Australian National University in Canberra. I make political, often comedic, works across theatre, live art and film. I wonder often about the future of political theatre in a digitised democracy and use theatre to better understand how political orders govern domestic and psychological worlds. I am influenced by many wonderful artists who are interrogating political realities through art including, but not limited to: Tim Etchells, Roslyn Oades, Spalding Gray, David Shrigley, Charlie Kauffman, Martin Creed, Nicola Gunn, Post, and Daniel Kitson.
