EMMA MARY HALL
I am a performer, theatre maker and director born in New Zealand, raised in Adelaide and now working mainly across Melbourne and western regional Victoria. I trained as an actor at the Victorian College of the Arts and hold an Honours degree in political science from the Australian National University in Canberra. I make political, often comedic works. I use performance to try to understand how political orders govern domestic and psychological worlds. I am influenced by many wonderful artists who are interrogating political realities, truth and time through art including, but not limited to: Tim Etchells, Roslyn Oades, Spalding Gray, David Shrigley, Charlie Kauffman, Amy Fusselman, Martin Creed, Stuart Lee, Nicola Gunn and Post.
